Known for the iconic black and white label, but what people may not know is that the history of our label wasn’t always so black and white.
Some time before 1904 our bottles were a rather unexpected shade of green with an eye-catching gold trim. And as unusual as that may seem, it’s just one of the many labels in Old No. 7’s past.

Much like Frank himself, this Whiskey is one of a kind. Sinatra Select pays tribute to Jack’s biggest fan: Frank Sinatra. Made with unique “Sinatra Barrels” that have deep grooves specially carved into their staves to expose the whiskey to extra layers of toasted oak. This added exposure imparts a rich amber color, bold character, and pleasant smokiness, punctuated by an incredibly smooth vanilla finish. Much like Frank, this Tennessee Whiskey is one of a kind.
Its distinct and unique taste comes from refining “mellowing” the freshly distilled whiskey drop by drop through 10 feet of sugar maple charcoal. The distilled whiskey is then matured in American Oak barrels hand-made by Jack Daniel’s themselves for a minimum of four plus years and is bottled one barrel at a time as a single individual expression. The only major distiller in the world to make their own barrels. Interesting fact – every drop of the world”s biggest selling whiskey comes from a single source, Lynchburg, Tennessee. Each single barrel expression can vary in flavour profile from soft spice to full bodied and robust. Best enjoyed neat or chilled over ice.

Laphroaig, founded in 1815 by brothers Donald and Alexander Johnston, has an extremely rich history; neighbourly disputes with Lagavulin and many ownership changes to name a couple. The 10 Year Old Single Malt is Laphroaig’s signature malt that is full sparkling gold in colour and has that signature rich smoke and seaweed character with a hint of sweetness. Surprisingly the palate is rich with subtle sweet hints and complex layers of salt and peatiness that evolve on the palate and continue to the long and dry finish.

Made from the blending of malts from the two distilleries of Yoichi and Miyagikyo, this whisky was the pride and joy of its creator Masataka Taketsuru, founder of Nikka and the father of Japanese Whisky. Light golden honey in colour with candied nuts, walnuts and hazelnuts on the nose as well as delicate and gentle smoke coming through with hay. Forward and straight pallet with juicy mouth feel, yet retaining a very gentle and sophisticated heat. Sweet apricots and peach dominate at first, leading to vanilla and subtle hints of ripe grape. Complex and long on the finish with lingering taste of dry herbs, leather and sweet pastry.
